Hello, I'm Patricia Stainer. As a freelance consultant, I support cultural institutions and non-profit organisations in communicating in a low-threshold manner and developing accessible marketing so that they can successfully address new target groups.
To this end, I offer talks and individually tailored workshops – also in English, as was the case at the Connected Audience Conference 2025 in Berlin. Further references include the Audience Success Conference 2025 and the Stuttgart State Opera (workshop in 2025 based on an individual analysis of their marketing). I also develop concepts for more accessible cultural marketing, e.g. based on (non-)visitor surveys or interviews.
Short bio: Originally, I am a marketing and project manager in the cultural and non-profit sector; past work stations include the Deutsches Theater Munich, an off-Broadway musical production company in NYC, and the Sydney Opera House (Opera Australia). I teach cultural marketing and audience research at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. I completed my doctorate in theatre studies on accessible marketing for non-visitors.

„How can cultural institutions communicate in a low-threshold manner and become more accessible in their marketing in order to attract new visitors? Patricia is one of the few experts in the German-speaking region on these issues. Her careful and committed approach always makes working with her pleasant and productive.“ (translated from German)
Anna Kleeblatt, consultant & coach for cultural institutions
„Patricia has been working on the topic of non-visitors from an academic and practical perspective since 2016. She is very familiar with the challenges of the (especially German) cultural landscape and, above all, marketing departments. Her analyses of marketing measures are sharp and thorough – and always solution-oriented.“ (translated from German)
